Alright, I am gonna hope all of you are pro trek in a wars vs trek debate
anywho, It seems I have gotten myself into quite the bind. Well on another forum atleast, (all alone and such, note to self, never be the only pro trek in a trek vs. Wars debate XD ) anywho, I was looking to do a technilogical breakdown of the cannon (no EU no Video Games, no books or manuals just the cannon or visual evidence) I am basically going on two theories,
That Wars ships are slow, unmanuverable, and powerless, and that the deaths stars power can be explained,
This is basically what i have so far
Wars,
Ships show no visual evidence on the capital level of manuverability, and the Star wars Galaxy has never been sized, meaning the word Fringe worlds could mean anything, I mean look at Trek, the Maquis are considered on the fringe. Anyway I am tryingt to come up with a debunk for the "amazing speed" of hyperspace, It just doesn't seem to be all that fast, I don't know anyone?
Also on firepower, Have you ever seen a star destroyer actually do massive damage? I mean seriously how many times did they fire on the ship in A new hope and that didn't even destroy it. How we have only seen them take on fighters, and that they are short range (just look at AOTS and how close they were)
That sensors are lower,
You get the gist, I have some sound logic behind all this, I just need some help writing it all out, anyone interested?

well if you watch all 6 episodes... all ships have new desighns but actually not new technological developments what so ever. i think all the smart scientist left that galaxy a long time ago. or those aliens in that universe are like indians happy with the beads they recieved and never asked questions.
although the ships look powerfull i highly doub they do any damage to a ST ships as seen in one of the TNG epsides LAZERS don't even the structural integrity of a federation ship it can't ven penetrate the shields.

i'm not sure of the firepower in SW vs ST, but in "A NEW HOPE" that ISD shooting at the corvette wasn't trying to destroy it, they were trying to capture it. that's as much as i'm going to say on this topic.

eh still, It took several shots to take out engines, by the way thanks for the community support on this.

i dont despise Sw but when someone asks which is better STrek all the way there is no competition
your right about the ships the ISD is a a useless peice of junk just take a couple of bops it will be finished in around three seconds
SW to tell the truth are crap tech wise, for **** sake they use lasers and if i remember rightly isnt there an episode in TNG where worf says that an enemy has lasers and poses NO threat to the enterprise and that they couldnt even penetrate the shields with them
i think its in either season 1 or 3 i cant remember exactly
also whenever u have these debates everyone goes OOoo but the jedi or the sith
when it comes down to it a jedi cant do **** when a Phaser is shot at him from space ?? or a photon torp **** if even one jedi was assimilated
game over
at the end of the day all thats left is the death star that even poses a minor threat and that peice of crap couldnt do anything i think an intrepid with TRi- Colbolt torps could tear it to shreads
anyway SW sucks ST rules

heh, Yeah, they keep pulling up this extended Universe crap, something about a base delta zero or something, and that one of Jango Fetts torpedoes blew apart an asteroid bigger than anything that the enterprise could. Where do these Pro Wars (in a star trek vs star wars) debate get their math anyway?
