I need a budget gaming notebook....any ideas?
Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

Yeah, I get what you guys are saying, but still, Apple makes pretty good laptops. Besides, laptops aren't supposed to be for gaming anyways. But their desktop systems are way overpriced and definitely aren't meant for gaming. But if you want to do a lot of gaming then you're probably better off with a Windows laptop. I'm just saying, Macs can still play games, that's all.
And yes Apple may be $%#&ing expensive, but because I'm a college student I get $50 and a free iPod, so I basically get $250 off if I sell the iPod. lol.
Anyways, to the guy who was looking for a laptop: newegg is a good site, they have lots of reviews so you know what's good and what's not, and their prices are generally pretty good.

ketchup_chips: did you not get the part where he says the word 'budget'? :p
i have a friend who bought a macbook pro for $2000... afterwards we found an msi laptop with EXACTLY the same hardware for a little over $1000... and it came with a better operating system to boot! (obviously, im not a fan of macs).
anyway, ill second the suggestion of newegg.com , i pretty much buy all my comp hardware from them, great site.

I forget if TigerDirect has been mentioned yet, as it's similar to NewEgg. Also, don't be afraid of "refurbished" laptops and PCs. Both the PC I'm using and the Laptop are refurbished, and they work great.

Unless you plan on buying them out of the trunk of a car, for cash, and the serial # had been mysteriously scratched off.
Then, well, I guess its a question of morals at that point. (You could probably get away with a real steal of a deal!)
