How old are you?

Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

I've been playing A2 vanilla ever since I was, oh, in single digits (I remember doing my "What you did over the summer" paper on beating Invasion). I first modded A2 when I was 11, and I think you'll all like this: I made the planetoids colonizable. I never understood why you couldn't colonize them. I've been playing FO ever since late Beta 2. I've only been on the forums for 2 years. I just got back in after I got a new computer (my old one died from BIOS errors).

I've been playing online for only a month off and on. I'm still a novice learning the ropes, although I'm not a newb anymore.

Wow, two people older than me!!! Yay!  I'll be 39 years young in a couple of months.  Been playing A2 since it came out and started modding it soon after.

FleetOps tried and played on and off for... well, not version 1, i think it was with the PR2 release.  Played it quite a bit since the 3.0 release but really got into it again with the 3.1.3 release and been playing online for the last few weeks.

If I see you online i'll give you a game.  I'm trying to learn how to play Klingons at the moment and discovering how terrible I am with them.

PS: I'm also constantly promoting the game to my colleagues and friends.  Even loaded it up on the computer at work once just to showcase one Friday evening... may have to do it again.

 I hesitate to call my skills 'crazy'. As I have only played on LAN with my friends; versus each other or versus the merciless AI.

However, I am probably the best player in my group of friends, we get together at my house and everyone brings their rigs... this weekend will actually likely be one of those times as it is a long holiday weekend in the U.S.  :woot:

EDIT: Oh and my favorite ship is the Excel-II  :innocent: she's pretty  :whistling: and gets the job done  B)

 Awesome!

Been playing A2 since shortly after it came out (though not at all regularly)... played FO once or twice during Beta2 days, and online quite exclusively during PR and all other recent versions :). Guess that's ~4 years of online gameplay?

I've played FO since beta 2, when online matches were few and far between.  Played A1 and A2 online since they were released, though.

First, I wish I could play Star Trek Armada II online against others because I find the AI predictable and easy to defeat :(.

Now to answer the posts topic, I've grown up with Star Trek The Next Generation, Star Trek Deep Space Nine, Star Trek Voyager, and Star Trek Enterprise. I just turned 22 years old at the end of July, and Star Trek is my one major favorite thing to read and play along with watch.

Hmm, 33 years old, wishing I was 21!

Well, I played A1 to death with my lan buddies, because the internetz were to slow for all of us, then the interest sort of died off.  Probably newer games?  Anyway, loved the campaign too!

When A2 came out I was horrified  it looked like it had just been slapped together and kicked out the door... still played it, but not multiplayer because it was just nuts.  Only dusted it off about two years ago because A1 didn’t run under winXP and got disappointed all over again, but somehow found out about FleetOps, a whole new level of awesomeness, and have been playing that since 3.0.7 – and have introduced that to the old lanning clan.  Should go and play online now that decent internetz are available...  seeing as none of us are going to play SC2 because of ethical reasons >:(

Might be a bit off topic, but it would be cool if one could play scenarios in the game, like famous battles and the like?  It's fun sometimes to role play 'in character' as one of the races if that makes any sense.

Oh yeah, the other Trek game I played was klingon honor guard, that was a bit of pew pew fun!  :woot:
