That's the stupidest thing I have EVER heard!!! Isn't it OBVIOUS that people need EMOTIONAL REALEASE...

lol, j/k

Ya, it is kinda wierd... you'd think people would argue enough offline... Go figure...

Well if you accept the fact that people do that and apply some sociology or psychology, you would understand why certain types do

Theres no point to be aruging over little things, especialy over a foum topic. Like politics for exemple.

well debates i can do but one person i know usually don't read the posts or is trying to convince others so deeply that you just get anoyed because he/she is a bit stubborn. It is not nice if you post something and doesn't understand/read what he/she has written and then being told that (s)he has it wrong. besides look at the latest thread that was closed... everyone active in Fo took part of it. so isn't it a bit stupid to say stop the forum fight while you also actually was a part of it?

And no the just don't post option clearly doesn't work

In some topics people are bound to be arguing with each other, especially with so many different nations on this forum. So for me if someone opens a political thread, or something else simmilar to that that persone is just asking for a fight.
As you see, some people really care about the views seriously and will never bow down and admit they are wrong. Now if 2 or more of such people meet and they all think they are totally right they WILL argue at some point.

So my solution: dont open topics that have "arguing" potencial :D

well basically all the forum fight topics all surrounds about the USA and how wrong it is and what should you do to prevent it and then how bad it is and then what you should do to prevent it and then how bad that is and how you should prevent it etc etc etc so you have 40 pages of the same ongoing cicle and then people get annoyed

i can always start a topic about the 3 liquidation of 3 dutch drug barons in one week :)

Hmmm... I have the distinct feeling that this will most likely play itself out in an argument...

thare is a difrants between an agumant and a debate. some times at ponts the debates did tern to agumats but 80% of the time this where in controle and respecfull.
