Hey I have been watching Farscape on Netflix, and honestly I kinda hate it. So if anyone as finished it can you tell me if it gets better at the end because I'm on the second season and all the main characters annoy the crap out of me. They are so selfish and and assholely. So if anyone has finished it can someone tell me if it is worth finishing

Its like that at the begining but i love it more than most startrek series as there is more comedy in it, like when john crichton pretends to be a "tasty human goat" for a dangerous creature that gets aboard moya.
As the seasons progress the characters become less arsholy and change to a more respectfull nature as john proves him self superior to almost everyone else in the crew even tho hes just a pathetic human.
Then theres John and Aeryn's relationship that progresses past the pre-teen stage to a slightly more grown up stage where they actually tell each other how they feel, the costumes also improve as time progresses in fact they are so subtile you wont notice till you watch it over again and youll be like o they look different.

I guess but John is the worst, stuck up, rude, and a complete jerk. So I guess but I don't I will make it that far because I don't even like the ship, so annoying

It's all down to opinion. Some people like it, so they would say "Yes, it is worth watching", but they probably also liked it at the beginning too. Some people don't like it, so they don't watch it. So I'd suggest don't waste your time on it, if you don't like it.
Personally, I'm not sure how I feel about it. It has its good points and bad points, but it's just enough to keep me watching through it, though not as much as I did with B5 or even BSG.

The basic problem of Farscape are the characters.
Except for that white-skin-chick and "Pilot" I hated them all.
We have a dumb human male, a misdirected dumb (non-terran) human female and a weird goblin that farts, pisses and bitches around and a weird tentacle-man who appears to be a big fan of "KISS" - all in all the show was totally laughable and after watching the pilot I was asking how anyone could take the plot seriously. If you laugh AT the characters instead of with them, they are not funny at all.
Edit: I forgot about that blue-man-group (or large smurf) female (female?). I don't even remember what she delivered to the show.

I really enjoyed it, with only perhaps B5 surpassing it in my eyes. I can understand it's not to everyone tastes, my wife isn't a fan of it either, and while she is giving B5 a go, I very much doubt I'll get her to give Farscape a shot.
I agree with Atlantis, you don't like it, then I suggest you find a series you do like. There is nothing worse than sitting down and watching something you don't like.

They are so selfish and and assholely.
That's kind of the point. They aren't a group of friends exploring space, they're a bunch of escaped convicts, an exiled soldier, and a guy who probably thinks he's loosing his mind all trying to accomplish their own goals, even at the expense of their shipmates. I personally think it makes for an interesting group dynamic. The characters do care about each other more over time; try watching the second or third episode then watch the season 1 finale and you'll see a huge difference in how the crew interacts.
If you still don't like it by season 2 you probably won't like the rest of the series, though.

She's Zhaan. Tries to keep the crew from killing each other over trivial stuff and is their closest thing to a science officer.

Farscape is something a lil different in term of sci-fi. I purchased the complete collection on DVD at hmv durring boxing week sale for cheap. I have to admit that by the end of the 2nd season I was loving the show. I realise some of the episodes are quite wacky for the ordinary viewer but to me the show is very solid from season 2-4. I would say if by end of season two u still dont like it move on.

No you dont.
It wasnt cancelled because it was unpopular at all in fact it still has a massive following now, it was because of funding by the network in australia or something.

Like I said I can see why it got canceled, its a hard show to like for everyone

I only watched parts of it. It gets major points for trying something new and not being your average sci-fi series. I didn't like some episodes because of the weird factor, but then other episodes were really good. If I had time I'd watch it through to get the overall story arc. Scorpius was an interesting villain, and having rods in his head made him extra creepy.

Like some people already said, this is not your average sci-fi show. Some episodes annoyed me and I skipped them, but I watched the show till the end. Only after the show was over I understood what I was watching. It was like, WOW, brilliant ! Again, please. I can't wait to watch it again.
If you don't like it, move on. There are other good sci-fi to choose from.
If I have to describe the show, I'd say: highly original.

Yes you said that in your previous post and again... wrong...
It was not cancelled due to lack of poularity it was cancelled for funding reasons, the series couldnt get the funding it needed from the network and they pulled the plug.
The fact it was in the news when it got cancelled in both the US and Australia shows that it was extremely popular, its like saying startrek was not popular sure there are people who dont like it but there are an infinite number of people that do like it.
