Do a barrel roll

for those of you who havn't seen it yet, searching in google for "do a barrel roll" will produce a google easter egg.

similarly searching for "tilt" or "askew" will have easter eggs.

just thought i'd let you know before google probably removes them. so much productivity around the world is lost to google's sense of humour. pacman was probably the best.

the barrel roll doesnt work for me. maybe cause its opera and way to awesome for google?


tilt works fine, tho, and pacman is cool.

i had it working on firefox 7.0.1 on windoze 7 when i posted it.

just tested it now and it still works.

i've heard rumours it doesnt work on macs or on firefox < 7

chrome is a good bet for it, as google love their own browser.

just tested it on ie9 and fail. i dont have any other browsers on my pc.

EDIT: just tested it on stock droid 2.3.3 browser and on dolphin hd browser, both fail on mobile or normal google.

Worked fine for me, good find. I remember when you zoomed all the way in on Google Moon it turned to cheese!

rather than clutter up the board with a new thread I thought i'd go grave digging for this one with a similar new trick:

search for "let it snow"

html 5 browsers only please.

do a barrel roll and tilt still work btw.

If you leave the search up long enough the screen starts to go all white and a "defrost" button replaces the search button.

yup, you can also use the left click to wipe away the snow (it wont restore functionality to the page until you push defrost).
