Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

Star trek ships use to seem so maga huge to me before. I had never taken the time to compare them to some of the ships that mankind has actualy built. take the MS Allure of the Seas for example its a cruise ship. when compared to the Intrepid class ,the Intrepid class does not seem so large any more ( L/W/H ) Intrepid 344m 132m 64m and the Allure of the Seas is ...360m   64m  94m   well that's all i got just wanted to share this with you all........kinda makes you think that aside from the technology its not as if some of the star trek ships are so huge that humans would not build them  ^-^

Yup. A good example is the HMS Bounty in Star Trek IV - at least when it first lands. The scale is all messed up when it buzzes the whaling vessel.
