Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

I am in need of voice over talent for my game, Sigma, which is almost ready to see it's next demo release. If you love sci-fi, explosions, and ugly reptiles, then this opportunity may be what you seek. Check out the available roles here: Voice Overs

Looks good - I have a mic, but dunno how to record, or what format you'd like, etc. Any words of advice? :)

Huh, how odd to find this here.  :D

I'm actually an actor and I do in fact do voice over work.  Most of the VO work I've done has been for radio commercials and cartoon work, but I'd LOVE to do some silly and fun "alien" voices :D.  I even made my own voices for the Fed Starships in the A1 mod I gave birth to.

Would love to try some more .

Most windows computers come with the program "Sound Recorder" found in Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment. The default file type is .wav so it all works out perfectly.

I took a basic acting class once! :woot:  So what's my contract look like?  Do I get a trailer?  I want a big one! ^-^  Also, I want Fuji bottled water and I'll yell and throw a tantrum if you try to give me some crappy "other" brand. >:(  Also, I applied for the next season of Jersey Shore, even though I'm not from Jersey.  My agent said it was ok, because none of the current actors are from Jersey either.

I'll go dust off my mic! :P

I would like to make a demo for General Geon E. Mokbel to send to you within the next days.
Do you have any tips to make voice-record as clear as possible?

I know this is a shot in the dark, but I have regular conversations with Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher), due to him being on my Xbox friends list, and us playing a lot of Rock Band together.

Wil does a lot of voiceover work, and I'm sure he'd like to get involved. Hell he might even do some voiceovers for FO!

Obviously he's quite a busy guy, so I wouldn't count on it...

I did voice acting for the opposing force 2 mod (half life 2 mod) i played some british bloke in the phoenix army or something i don't know i didn't read the script.

The mic i had then was much better than what i use now but i wouldn't mind doing a voice over for a character.

:D didnt know FO attracts so many actors
well I used to act myself but I have never done Voice Over so far, and I cant deny my strong german accent so I might not be the right one for this, but anyway I am at your service - just have to find a decent mic though :sweatdrop:

All the world's a stage! :woot:

I wouldn't worry about an accent, Konsumat.  The V.R.A. is international, from what I understand.  Having everyone sound like they're Americans would be boring.

In fact, Star Craft had some pretty outrageous accents, and that was half the fun.  I bet that's what TUN's going for.

Yup, any accent will do (though I'm a sucker for British accents...)

If anyone feels their accent is too strong then please try for the Zevestivan.... no one wants to do voiceovers for them' crazy lizards  :crybaby:

I'm not sure about monotone but it should sound formal and not very emotional.

I'm British and I'd be more than happy to help.

Be a weird thought knowing that whenever people play the game they would hear my voice
