Calling all Sins of a Solar Empire fans!

Hey all.
For all of the fans and people who play Sins of a Solar Empire, I have something interesting to share with you.

A big thanks to Elim for sharing this link with me.

There is a mod in development for Sins, and all I can say is that it looks AMAZING.

It is set in an alternate reality, where aliens invaded earth, and humans had to leave and set out for the stars.

With four major human factions (three of which will be playable) fighting for supremacy amongst the stars, the glorious citizens of the Soviet Union, the free people of the Democratic Federation, the loyal patriots of the Greater German Reich, and the mighty warriors of the Empire of Japan battle for total domination.

But they are not alone in the universe, for the evil Scinfaxi race spreads its virus amongst the stars, to bring all life under its rule.

Who will you fight for?

Well thats a little something I wrote myself, but pretty much sums up the story of the mod.
You will be able to play as either:

The Soviet Union
The Greater German Reich
The Democratic Federation

The mod is not out yet, but is in the alpha testing phase, and public beta should hopefully not be far off.

So without any further ado, I present:

The background information is pretty cool, yeah, gotta wait til its in open beta to really decide on that tho.

Sins really needs mods to be really good, tends to feel too cumbersome without them (to me anyway) and I hope this handles it properly.

That or a really good star trek/wars mod (the ones Ive tried crashed a lot at best or had really silly balance, or made silly balance/design decisions to make use of special weapons)

I once tried it, but I got fed up quick, was trying to make a semi scale accurate model of the Sol system.

I actually found this a while ago the only thing that bothers me is a lack of development for the the alliance faction. O well the rest is pretty cool

There is also a Halo Mod For sins called "Sins of the Prophets" in dev stage i think....... aperentlky there is quite a modding comunityy for sins

Very interesting for sure. Though while I have Sins I am not much a fan of it.

You don't know the half of what those guys have done to a fellow Armada 2 Modder. I won't down their mod out of principle and respect to a close friend of mine.

Who cares long as the mods fun, srsly majestic quit bringing up any drama you've had up when someone mentions a mod :p

Ok, i feel i need to say this so forgive me: Maj, your a good friend of mine and i know you have a huge respect for artist rights and the like, but out of nessicity, is it really nesscicary to bring up all the past mistakes that people have done. Sure the interwebz is filled with some lowlife, evil people, but i'm not going to let myself be prevented by an opinion and some past bad actions from enjoying somthing that is truly quite amazing. Sure i have only been a part of this comunity for a small while and i probly don't know anything about whats happened in the past, but frankly, i don't care. i'm not going to hold anything against them becuse i don't kno, and its not my place. just because someone is a A2 modder does not make them my brother, and just because someone wronged an A2 modder does not make them my enemy, and i don't think its fair to throw new modders, like myself, into the midst of old grudges.

Maybe it'll happen oneday. Maybe i'll get all my work stolen by some lazy ass and it'll get put on a bunch of mega upload sites and i'll be forced to retreat to MSFC forever. maybe. but untill then, i don't plan to be biased to anyone, with only one 1 or 2 exceptions. i understand you posistion maj, i really do. but from my view, i just don't think its worth for me it to get all worked up over somthing thats so far in the past. i can't afford the stress, stress is killing me already.

We should always learn from our past mistakes, but we should never let our bad exeperences in the past control our future.

I do not mean any bad feelings or harm by this post, and i hope you understand it represents my feelings and not how i think you should feel.

there is another MOD called Sacrifice of angels 2 for sins. its trek. quite an awesome mod aswell.

in the few moments i was on the site the mod looks great. However, it suddenly sends me to this website : Funschool - Arcade - Free, Fun Online Games for Kids advertising school learning game activity things... anyways nuclear when I get on TS next time hit me up I want more info on this mod
