I just got invited to Google+, google's new social networking program, which looks awesome. Any of you guys who want an invite just ask here

I think the inviting system is still closed, or have they opened it again?
As quickly as they opened up, Google+ closes invites again after insane demand

Its not like facebook at all, but i dont see the point in it since it does nothing more than google chat already does.

It is very similar to facebook. Unfortunately Zebh is right, the invites are now closed, almost as soon as they went up

a way to circumvent the closed invitations seems to exist:

Create a new circle named "invite" and add email addresses to it. Keep in mind that the people you’re adding must have GMail accounts.
Create a post and assign it to the invite circle only. Be sure not to make it public to everyone, just members of the "invite" circle.
