Amusing Ship Names

Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

Has anybody seen any strange and/or funny ship names in Fleet Ops? I found USS Crossfire and USS Sugarloaf earlier today, both Ambassadors. The Sugarloaf killed one ship before being destroyed and the Crossfire didn't kill any. Any other good ones out there?

Not in FO, but...I did Download a map once that had Sovereign class ships with names like USS KiSsMyAsS, USS BiTeMe, and USS UsUcK and even some others that might get me banned if I were to post them.

The first one's no so weird... It literally means "of the Giants" and was the original name of the HMHS Britannic, the sister ship of the Titanic ("of the Titans") and Olympic ("of the Olympians")... As for the Star League, that name's been around since Star Fleet Battles was first created and can be first been seen on one's computer as the name of one of the dreadnoughts in the original Starfleet Command (which is itself based off Star Fleet Battles)...

The other three are somewhat more bizzare, but I can see all three being names of Venture class ships at least...

Don't think it was in FO, but I've seen people (very seriously) name their ships USS Redundant because it sounds like a big word and they really had no idea what it meant!

cool but next to impossible to code. however you could change them out of game but that wouldnt allow you to play multiplayer

Has anyone seen the 'Distress call' mod for Bridge Commander? The Klingon names would be perfect for FO; Almost every single one is amusing.

I think someone in Starfleet is a fan of Peter Pan, because I don't remember anywhere in Star Trek called Neverland.

Ive seen the USS neverland and USS concrete..those r the two ive noticed that r kinda wacky names....the concrete is an akira class....i forget what the neverland was...this thread made me play and go through the ships to see what the names were.....then in my modded version I have the C.C.C.P Kickstart!!

When I got the Neverland, it was an Akira Class.

CCCP Kickstart? Shouldn't it be CPP? (Asuming you are talking about the ship commanded by Emperor Berk).
