its problably just some website coding tags that are showing thru....ending tags perhaps...thats my theory. maybe if use a dif browser they will disapear...

Those aren't at least html end tags. And usually if end tags are missing it causes some other issues too. I don't see that this nttnt haves any purpose in (html) code. I think that it is more likely that nttnt could be generated by some server-side script.

I definitely recognise that, it may be that it shows up on my old PC which I was using IE 7 on.

It doesn't show up for me now, I'm using Firefox... Switch!

Sometimes the nttnt stays there in white arial letters over dark blue ground. This is the case while i'm typing this message. Funny. Fortunatly it doesn't disturb me at all.
