I am basically wondering if it would be possible (and relatively easy) to update the statistics section of fleetops, im not sure if im the only one who looks at statistics alot, but i think it would also be a usefull tool for you (the devs) to help track........ things....... anyway

Basically, what im looking for is a new section for number of members with recent activity (like last 30 days or so) to help show the average active population on the forums

Secondly, it would be nice if it would automatically graph some of the data in the statistics section, such as posts, user activity increases over the past couple of years.

Most importantly, is it possible to give tunngle stats on fleetops forum? so that we can all see peak activity times on tunngle (to help for game planning) and to help see the number of unique individuals playing fleetops online

and why? the fleetops forum is here for the game. why should they waste their time fiddling with forum stuff when the forum functions adequately already.

statistics are irrelevant its the game thats important.

i'm not, just recently he has been suggesting things i am against so i am making that known. worrying about forum trivialities wont help fleetops grow.

the statistics page we have now is build in with the forum software, we would have it in that extent if it haven't been. i know statistics can be interesting to look at from time to time, but the core functionality of a forum is something else than that ;) i feel that having a activity list of who is currently online is enough information. personally that's exactly what i think when i visit another forum - i don't really care who was online the last 24 hours or 30 days, such statistics have no real worth for me as forum visitor.

@ Myles, the main point in my posts for statistics, is to find the user base, to know how many people play online and such, and for some of us who live in wacky time zones, to know when most people are on

and@ doca, i agree, statistics can be fun, but yes they are not a core part of a forum, i just feel like the main two that i just mentioned in my response to myles would be helpful

i perfectly understand. i am not against statistics in any way if they have the right amount of info.

i'd like to add that the forum actually needs some fiddling :D its a central part of fleet operations after all. the forum software has some annoying bugs

the only thing that has ever bothered me about the forum is the bug when all the blue lines disappear and u have to refresh to get them back.

im not against the forum getting updated/overhauled however the devs want, id just much rather prefer 3.1.4

I think that has something to do with page caching and cache expiration times. Just like when you go back to the forum board after reading a topic and it still says the topic you just read has new posts.

as a google product chrome probably uses their own list of bad sites, just like firefox does. so its probably a bad entry on that list.
