This game really needs its gamers to download Xfire. You can download it here: Xfire - Gaming Simplified
It's the best way for our small online community to keep in touch. For those who have never used it, Xfire is like MSN for gamers. It displays what games your friends are playing right now, how long they've been playing and allows you to message them in-game. This will allow us all to arrange games without having to go sit in the lobby and wait around when its empty. I can't stress enough how important Xfire would be to this small community. I know there are a lot of people that want to play but don't always fancy sitting in the lobby waiting around for X amount of time. With Xfire you can keep in touch with all the regulars and know you'll get a game.
Simply create a profile, download the small setup file, install and away you go. Keep it minimized. You cannot tell Xfire to track 'Fleet Ops' but you can make it track Armada 2. To do this, simply open up Xfire, click 'Tools > Options > Games > Manual Setup > Browse then locate the Star Trek Armada 2 directory. Xfire will now display your status pertaining to Armada 2, letting your friends know when you're in-game.
If anyone does have Xfire, add me at BigwigUK.

I still think there needs to be more people using Xfire! And we need an active Xfire group, the one thats already established has no moderation.
