actually... :sweatdrop: I don't think you can place cubes on the map.  only the pre-built station thingy,

I haven't checked recently though.  it may have changed in the past few patches.

i can confirm from experience that map editor cannot place completed borg ships when module selection is required. Imagine how many map editor entries would be needed to allow all combinations  and any time the module arrangements change, the map editor would have to change as well.

you can place borg stations and low tech borg ships such as the probe and detector. although a npc fleet of detectors hardly scares most people, early enough attack though and over 9000 detectors MIGHT be able to destroy your first contruction ship

Well, it only takes a few Detectors to pick off freighters and construction ships. In 3.0.7, an optimal fleet was 6-7 large... which was enough to decimate destroyers and other small/medium sized vessels while your other ships did the nasty work of being damage soaks :D

to build cubes, or any other borg vessels

pick the race that you are given when you start map editor ( you can tell by the interference or the recrew button) place one of their starbases so you can get their avatar, then you can build any type of ships ... blahblabhalbhalbahlba....

... you know what I'm getting my new pc in a few hours i'll just post pictures of how it's done maybe it can go onto dominus map editor "how build stuff like borg ships and from shipyards etc." :D

edit: also can everyone check to see if they got their ships on my 2nd post in this topic? and/or if i missed something?  thanks

I don't think you need there to be a Galaxy class USS Ono-Tarro, just the steamrunner :sweatdrop:

Arash8472 wrote:wait really? I was not aware of that?   In both original armada 1 and 2 when you resized the map the items stayed where they were so the map would have empty space on the edges cuz the opjects did not moved...

thanks for the input

Aye indeed - remember when in doubt of a feature in the map editor, perhaps check it in the guide, and then test it in game. There are a lot of nice features the devs put in that are lacking from A2  :D

Lol a cube. Hope this map isnt too unbalanced.

I doubt an NPC Cube will unbalance a map, since a Tactical Cube and a Sphere doesn't.

all ships go on team 0 if you read post it's optional for you to attack them or not
posted on March 13th, 2010, 11:25 pm
Team 0 is only for ships you want as map objects, unclaimable derelicts or if you have an 8 player map.
