Me and Snezzle think we have found some cheaters. Me and snezz had a game vs Medhiv and Nuku.

Here is the Admiral's Log: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

22k dil. By mid game? No way in Gre'thor is that possible.

They had a starbase in the middle of the map 1 minute in. And still had enough to build 3 mining expanses. By just starting mid game, they had late game powerful ships, when I only had half a fleet. Me and Snezz also destroyed thier mining expanses early game, and they still got all of that!

Snezzle can also back me up on this.

We might be wrong, and if so then sorry. But can someone please look into it.
Thanks.

Well, did they have regular attacks on you? I mean if they had 3/4 expansions and never built ships, it's possible

Yeah what they did was impossible in my eyes, i thought it strange from the beginning when they began constructing a starbase so soon, couldn't decommission one that fast and if the ally transferred resources for this then he couldn't have build up the way he did nor could his federation ally.

We attacked and destroyed both their 2nd mining positions and yet still had these resources to build up a fleet of vorchas and other battleships.

Plus the fact these two players nuko and medhiv83 are apparently new?

could be dom and serpicious playing tricks on you :shifty:  or even the devs

as far as I know, you can't cheat in multilayer, but the fact that some one might have intreagues me.

Looking over the Admiral's log, stuff seems to checkout to me  :sweatdrop: . It doesn't seem like an unreasonable amount of stuff being built. Building a Starbase first thing is a perfectly reasonable (if easily defeatable) strategy. Especially if nobody scouts the area until it is done.

May I guess Eraldo that you only built one Resource Assimilator per moon?

You can cheat in ANY game, single or multiplayer.

I was unaware.  are you talkin' cheat codes, or just cheating in general.

There are alot of different forms of cheating or hacking, memory editing, code injection.

You can write fairly simple program to cheat by editing the values in memory.

ah, yes, I understand that, I thought you ment they were using resource cheat codes.

as far as I know the armada II system checks all system files before going into the lobby and then checks that everyone has the same identical files to the host.

Correct.  As we all know Armada is a SUPER touchy game and if even a single comma or period doesn't line up with everyone else it won't work properly.

I dunno ... maybe they could.  You start off with 4k Dilithium and 2k Tri so in theory his first constructor COULD have done that.

DLL Injection,iv played a few MMO FPS games that cheaters/hackers use that to bypass the AC.Basicly after all the files are checked and loaded with the press of a designated key the Hacker's Program will inject into the game's memory of the loaded files hence changing them. Also i used to play stock A2 years back and on a 2v2 game 1 of my enemies were borg and he was poping 2-3 assims every second from 1 shipyard -_-

Hm..

Assimilator's every second, huh?

  Not very subtle :D.

Well I suppose they could be cheating.  We'll have to see.

Doesn't A2 also keep a reference to other players resources on all the players machines so they all have to match as well. If NuclearDude's pc say's Medhiv has 2000 dil and Medhiv's machine thinks he has 4000 the game complains very loudly about cheaters and quits. I could be wrong though I just thought it did, that stops memory injection for all but the very cleverest programs.
