People seem to have been ignoring me in the Wippien sign-up list, and I was already destroying it with triple posts, so I thought I would make a new topic. People might actually reply to this 
Anyway, several people have been complaining about connection issues with wippien. And it seems to be getting worse, especially with wippien servers becoming *very* unreliable. Not that it is a bad program, but it is unfortunate that we have no yet found a problem free program to play fleetops with.
In the wippien sign list there are many different possible programs we can try. No point in moving everyone to each one, but if a few of us can get to some vigorous testing, it might help in the long run.
I have made an accont on Social VPN, which looks promising, just need people to test it with!

I'll explore it in a few days (not much time right now). If some people could get some 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 with players who have experienced problems that would be really great. If we get a verdict, I'll send out a mass message over wippien to let everybody know that we are moving

He won far and square. 
I didn't to switch up to leahvals when I realized he was mayson feds. It was embarrising to watch 3 shrikes and a mijural turret lose to a Galaxy, Ambassador, and an excelsior. Yeah, the feds need a boost. 
I would like to see more people who have problems with wippien try social vpn.

Hm, seems the only downside is that everybody will need a gmail account - is that right? Poses a difficulty for me in actuality... as I don't have a phone capable of receiving texts, which is what is necessary to start up the account

That's not how I got my gmail account. Some of can use a few of our invites if that's what it takes.

Sounds promising. I'm one of the people who had connection issues with Wippien. And its not my internet, i have a stable 10mb service. More than enough for FO. I'll download SocialVPN now and see if we can't set up a game. I've been hoping to play some multiplayer...hopefully this works out.

you can try linking up with me, but I have a good connection. You guys who are complaining about connection problems need to post it here so that you can meet up with others who have the same problem and see if these other vpns work for you. No one but you can help you find a good system that works.
