This is all just my opinion in the format of the gamereplays.com game review template, I ofc don't consider myself a pro in my first ever game just wanted give my opinions to the other players, hope critisism is appreciated and taken in the best possible light. :)

Game Summary

Players
Ducky (Borg: Optimize)
Serenity (Romulan)
l337_G4m3r (Federation)

Map: Hazard

Course of the game was Borg build 2 scubes and 1 probe then send them around the back of the base to the expansion mining of Gamer. Gamer had already expanded and was running around with 4 saber classes. The scubes and probes reach and destroy his mining and chase all of the sabers down, destroying them then the scubes return to guards the moons, preventing further attempts at setting up mining there. Quickly Borg reaches first prime sphere and launches in-to Gamers front door, destroying the intrepids he had been building along with the minind vessels of both moons. From there he sells everything (or so I thought) then the Borg party continues around the outside towards the Romulan base while sending resource assimilators to capture the moons in the Federation base.

Serenity was untouched and unseen for a large portion of the game and awaiting the resource assimilators were 7/8 decloaking Levahl classes mixed with various other classes which I'm unfamiliar with. By this time Borg has second Prime Sphere which comes from the other side in-to his base. The ships all exchange fire for a minute and Serenity takes down one sphere to 40% which sped away back to base to avoid being destroyed. After that Serenity allowed me to destroy his base due to frustration I believe, regardless I played cat and mouse with gamer for a while until finding his second base another half hour, finding multiple bases and hidden ships with my cubes before finally winning. All players agreed to a GG.

Review
Serenity

[sup]Good[/sup]
  • Levahls with upgrades.
  • Ship variations.
  • Good use of cloaking to ambush the resource assimilators and spheres.

[sup]Bad[/sup]
  • Did not appear to expand to other moons.
  • No scouts inside of other bases or anywhere else to see what was happening.
  • Did not attack or threaten moon expansions of other players.
  • Giving up :( Good thing about Fleet Operations is all moons are infinite - one construction ship escapes and can rebuild again.
  • Did not really use cloak to make the most of hit and run tactics.

l337_G4m3r

[sup]Good[/sup]
  • Never ever gave up!! Rebuilt twice.
  • Expanded to  left pair of moons.
  • Built a second base and fast-tech'd warp-in

[sup]Bad[/sup]
  • Did not attack my expansion or my base.
  • Did not pull back mining ships to the starbase when I attacked them.
  • I'm not an expert on the Federation but some sensor blackout ships would have worked well I think.

Ducky

[sup]Good[/sup]
  • Early Federation resource harassment.
  • Checked for cloaked scout with probe in own base.
  • Expanded to second pair of moons.
  • Overall resource harassment won the game.

[sup]Bad[/sup]
  • Went for Spheres too quick.
  • Ignored the Romulans for far too long, one detector to see what they're doing every so often isn't too much to ask.
  • Went for Cube too fast leaving a large gap in vessel construction howeever a cube was required to bring the second base down, got lucky really.

Free For All's can be very frustrating to every single player out there, vet or noob :D.  Glad to see that you guys had yourselves a friendly one!

And *clap clap clap for Gamer for rebuilding twice!  Learn from the Mighty Mort and never give up! :D

thanks,

yeah i ment cbosdell, but he didnt really distinguish himself in that game since they were both kligons, but we played great, man if wish there was a video of that...... that was a great comeback, no bases, a few double gold miranda 2s, your hyperspace artillery, and whatever there called with the freezing stuff, oh man, that was just a great use of specials, special with my blockade runner

Cbosdell is on Tunngle every once in a while.

I think most of the infrequent players will be drawn back in once the patch comes out :whistling:
