Can I even play online?

Here you can arrange online encounters and reminisce over past online battles.

I've got a 6-year-old Dell Inspiron 6000 with 504MB of RAM and a stock graphics card, which I can't even upgrade if I wanted to.

Would I just lag every game I tried to play?

:crybaby:

How well does FO run on your computer?

Playing against a single AI is OK. There's always a long pause the first time I blow up a building... like the computer is "looking" for the explosion animation really slowly.

If the game runs well, I would think the main limiting factor is your internet speed.  But you're probably right at the minimum system specifications already, so I would guess that you can't play online very well.  I could be wrong (I'm definitely not an expert), and there's never any harm in trying.:)

You could just try doing 1v1s and going up from there.  Just as a guess that might be your limit.

as always, try it out.

Dont get disheartened if a game lags, as it might be the other guy lol

Try games with players who have less lag, like yandonman.
