Personally, I think the supply system is wrong, serves no purpose, only adds to the cost of ships/stations. I'm all for reintroducing officer system. Let there be strategy...
With the leveling system, certain ships can require less officers as they level up, thus putting more enthesis on keeping your experienced ships.

On the whole, I don't like the idea of a strict limitation (like A2 officers) because it destroys strategic gameplay. Aka, one of the biggest problems with Warcraft and Starcraft was that because each race could only build up to a max number of units based on each one's housing cost, it encouraged people to build hordes of the cheapest (both in terms of resources and housing) units... which then would be built up almost immediately by a large number of bases. Essentially, a strict limitation removes the advantage of superior resources and rewards turtlers who know that eventually they will get the same number of ships as their enemy, without having to fight for the next node, because the total number of ships is limited. Finally, strict limitaiton also means that balancing becomes a much bigger deal and it just wouldn't work at all with FO. Think of how each race would be affected: Cubes would have to be limited to 1 or 2 because if you can only get 32 of... lets say akiras... Another issue would be build speed. Since resource limitation wouldn't factor in because you are limited on ships (and thus resource gathering continues when ship construction stops), the race that builds the fastest WILL win (just like Zerg will win when put in a map where resources are practically unlimited, and expansion is unneeded (20 mineral fields on top of eachother etc)). I strongly, STRONGLY, dislike strict limitations, and I regret ever suggesting something akin to that.
Please, consider merely the first idea where "Possibly, every *blank* number of *blank* type of ships, you would get access to one more Tavara, or 1 more warp in or 3 more Phalanx etc... " ... in essence, a scalable limitation for certain ship classes (or perhaps: for every 3 cubes, you have to build 4 spheres)

we have no intentions to have a fixed limit for all vessels, limits are reserved for special stuff. The supplies are ment as a soft limit.

I hate to ask, but is there going to be a 3.06 to fix the errors found in 3.05? I am only asking in case I missed the announcement. Love the game, but playing CnC 3 until the next patch is released.
Keep up the good work!

As far as I know, we don't usually get a whole lot of notice before a patch comes out. It just kinda....happens and surprises everybody. I can probably assure you, though, that there'll be patches in the future

sure, there will be a 3.0.6. what bugs are you referring to?

I remember reading about a bug with the Feds and the Dominion. It was posted early on after 3.05 came out. I also sent bug report as well. I think it happens when certain ships level up. Basically I have been waiting for word on that fix. BTW, for the record, I love the current credit limits in the game. It makes the game more "real" because it forces you to build your support ships.

Well for what it's worth I've had 3 more crashes since the last one I reported on 3.0.5.
I've pasted them into the text document below:
