I found just one thing, when I turn the graphic details to max, the minimap stays black (except the parts that are in my scanner range) but when I turn it just a bit left, the Minimap is all visible but things just appear in scanner range as normal... I just wondered if this is intended.

Well, I can't choose which class of ship I get when I call one in using Starfleet Command... That's... kind of a problem... because I can only seem to call in Steamrunners...

OK, I played a quick game, calling in a total of eight ships using SFC... One (using the "experimental ship" option) was an Avalon and, if you ask me, eight credits seems terribly overpriced, though it might explain why the fighters it launches never seem to return to their mothership, but of other seven I called in I got six Steamrunners and one Nebula! :pinch:

Either this is supposed to happen, or the random number generator the game's using is fucked...

EDIT: OK, played another one... This time (after calling in a Descent) I called in three Steamies and three Nebs before finally seeing my first Galaxy... OK, it makes sense that Galaxies would be a lot more rare, but a random selection of two (well technically three, but you almost never get the Galaxy and despite calling in over a half-dozen more ships it was the only one I got that game) ships doesn't strike me as being much of a random selection... It's also a little incongruous how the only ships in the area able to respond to your calls for help are Steamrunners and Nebulas... However, I think even adding a couple more could do the trick... Perhaps the Nova could make an appearance as a specail weapons based ship (like the Remoore and Norway) and the Ambassadore a standard cruiser (similar to the Nebula)... The Abmassadore's a little old, granted, but the Excelsior was still viable during TNG, so who's to say the Ambassadore couldn't take over the Excelsior's "elder statesman" role post-TNG? Other options might include members of those miscelaneous classes from Wolf 359 (Freedmon, New Orleans, Cheyenne, etc) or the some of the less horrible kitbashes from DS9 (the Centaur and Curry/Raging Queen (perhap serving as a lighter version of the Avalon with fighters that do have to return to the hanger) come to mind)...

By the way, I know it seems like all I'm doing is complaining, but the mod is actually fantastic and most of my criticisms are minor nitpicks and quibbles on the face of it... All I'm doing really is trying to make a great mod even better...

the random generator used is the same that armada is using... ;)
i guess you were just out of luck.. though steamrunners are nice against big borg vessels :)

Makes sense... The Borg vessels are so massive that the the Steamie's torpedoes are never going to miss (100% hit rate against larger ships, 80% against mediums and 60% against small ships if memory serves)... On the other hand, the Nebula's pulse phaser (less damage against larger ships, same 100/80/60 ratio, this time for small/medium/large if memory serves) is going to be decidedly ineffective against the Borg... Actually, it's ironic to think that, given that pulse phasers are ineffective against large ships, if you're a Fed player with nothing but Borg opponents, you should not under any circumstances build the Defiant (pulse phasers and a specail made useless by a lack of Borg shields), a ship that was specifically designed to combat Borg incursions...

EDIT: I said that before I found out that the Defiant's specail now kills weapons instead of shields... Yea, scratch that, given its new weapon killing ability the Defiant could in fact be absolutely essential against the Borg as few ships + weapon killing specail = no fun for the Borg...

:woot:

Can't say a thing.

3.0 is an experience, nothing less. I didn't even recognize the game

New gameplay, new graphics, new things to play around with - it's amazing and I guess I haven't seen half of all the new stuff you brought into the game.

To say that you've done great work would be an understatement. You guys are the greatest! Keep up the fantastic work!

Emm guys, I have played 2 online games and both went OOS quite quickly. It was me and hypercube vs 2 and 3 hard AIs. I was Borg/Dominion and he was Federation. The AIs were Rom/Kligon/Dominion.
I thought u fixed that already, its a really annoying bug  :( :(

Hmm, i have a problem with Fleet Ops.
Game Crashes with access violation every time.
Only when i'm playing Fed there will be no crash.
Have send a bug report, maybe you can figure out what the problem is.
And before someone says "Check ypur System":
Is already checked and everything is absolutely fine.
I'm playing Everquest 2 and this game uses RAM and CPU to its limits so Hardware is also ok.
I have no clue what causes the failure.
One interessting fact is, that i'm playing another mod of Armada 2 absolutly stable with no failures (Ghost's Compilation Mod)
