Don't tease!

It's not nice.

The mod will hopefully be out soon.  It is in final Beta testing right now.  Once all of the little bug are squashed, we will be playing the latest and the greatest!

What's not nice is asking every few days if the patch will be out.  It's like having kids in the back seat of your car asking "Are we there yet?!  Are we there yet?!  Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?!

When the patch comes out, we'll know, because the Recent News section will have a thread entitled, "Isn't it Great?!  It's Patch Three Point Eight!" :D

Until then, let's not be rude to the developers by constantly asking them over and over when the next release will be out. :)

I always fancied myself as more the lion tamer of this three-ringed circus, whipping the ravenous beasts back into their cages before they get so ferocious as to eat the crowd. B)

Anyway, their testing phase lasts between 3-6 weeks, and it's been 3 since they announced that they were in the testing phase, so it won't be long now.

It'll be interesting to see how the new abilities affect strategies and i hope to get the chance to test them during the holidays. Testing is more important though, nobody wants a rushed release with bugs in it.

Agreed! Can't count the number of mods for any number of games I've downloaded, so excited to play them, that turned out to be totally ruined by their bugginess. Fleet Ops holds itself to a much higher standard and I don't think anyone should be unwilling to wait for that kind of quality.

One thing you learn from software development is that there will always be bugs in software :crybaby: that seems to be a law of physics, right next to an apple falling of a tree! But of course we are hunting them at the moment, to reduce them to a minimum
just found a funny weapon-damage bug in a vessel lately that no one noticed yet. they are hiding everywhere! :shuriken:

Hmmm... maybe it is related to the law that everything breaks when the expert isn't around to fix it!  :dead: I wish the laws of physics could be edited! That way I can take that stupid law out!

so why do you not use the Microsoft Way of Bugtesting. Release the product and let the customer find the bugs  :D And if you cant solve a problem say something like: Mhh yeah the problem is your videocard driver, that is not our problem

And when the patch will be out  :naugthy:

I know, even though i retired due to lack of time, i was part of a number of mods/TC for RA2/YR.
You can have the sweetest graphics, AI, maps and gameplay, but it's the bugs which get the attention and are also often the most difficult to get rid of.

That is why it is important to have a solid team of developers/testers and above all patience.

I'm willing to wait longer to make sure my Klingons get the sexy-time they deserve :D.

Can't wait to see the new subsystem passives in action and see some of the new specials.

Will this patch add any new units or stations to the game?
