You can find the savegames under XP
C:Documents and SettingsApplication DataStar Trek Armada II Fleet Operationssave
or Vista/7
C:UsersAppDataRoamingStar Trek Armada II Fleet Operationssave
note that these folders may be hidden in the default configuration of Windows.
this folder can also be reached by Start->Run and copy&paste the following:
%APPDATA%Star Trek Armada II Fleet Operationssave

just a fyi, internet explorer users can open the local link to their save game folder, it can even use the appdata variable by copying and pasting the following into their url bar:
file:///%appdata%/star trek armada II fleet operations/save
firefox users cant use the appdata variable, and even if they could it wouldnt open the folder it would use firefox's file manager to show the folder.
the forum wont make that a link as it will only link to websites (using the http protocol). doca might be able to make it a link as an admin, then people could just click it to go there. not sure if it opens if hidden folders are left invisible in folder options.
could help the less computer able to find their saves, as i remember when i was new to this stuff i wasnt too confident with appdata stuff.

I've reinstalled 3.2.4 and the error did still occur, so I restarted my system, and the error was gone.
Then I tried 3.2.5 again and it worked, that is the first time I've get a error like this, how ever it was not created by FO, but the Application still crashes when I exit it.
By the way, it would be nice if someone would say hello or so, ignoring ppl until you find something worthy to reply is arrogant. In addition it does not really motivate anyone to post again.

A slightly harsh and radical view there but as Myles said its a simple case of "didn't see ya there". Definitly one of the better communities here.

Thank you.
I'll have to figure that out.
At least it seams to be alive, that is a good start.
Yes, we all have made our own experiences and see the world differently.

I'd like to tweak my ships for FO, but the latest versions of FO don't seem to have the odf files for ships and ordnance under the data folder anymore. What happened to them?

oh wow, blink and you miss it. while you were gone they switched to a zipped odf file (odf.fpq) and gave us the editor (fpqedit.exe) to manage them. this was added a few patches back, along with support for switching between mods, so only 1 install is needed for all mods.

How do you add the warpins for regular builds (aka editing the ODF).
