BSG mod name

With the Cimtar name though, you could call this:

Fleet Operations: The Cimtar Accords

The situation name would actually work quite well, given that the nature of the maps/missions seems to be more focused on isolated battle than anything. At least from what I've gotten from it.

Well, when I look for the synonyms of conflict it actually lists accords as an antonym, so I think that might not work, however Cimtar contentions, The Siege of Cimtar,  The Cimtar Affair, are good too.

I also thought of Fleet Operations: Rules of Engagement  (considering that the rules of engagement were broken by the attack on Caprica, or something like that)

The Caprican wars is also a decent option.  Or the Craynnus Wars.

Yeah, it is kinda confusing overall.

I suggested it because Cimtar involved peace talks - accords - that turned out to be a massive trap for the Colonial Fleet, and the mod seems to only really involve ship-to-ship battles in a single system.  Might be a cool level name later on though, if you decide to make a campaign.

It sounds cool, but it doesn't make too much sense considering that Cimtar was a single, almost unimportant system in the Crynnus system.

Yeah, to be honest I only saw bits of the newer one.(the important parts mind you)  I have prally seen more TOS than TNS, but thats why I ask other people about it.   :D  Mal is my resident BSG expert so he gives me bunches of ideas.

Hehe, well I just watched the series, I'm not an expert.

While the space physics weren't perfect, they created a plausible and well thought out style of combat for space combat that was complex and dynamic, and seems to translate well in games.  That's the part I like.

If I were to name a BSG mod, I would call it Battlestar Galactica:  13 Tribes.

Another name you could try would be something like BSG: Total War, since your mod is basically a "what if" the cylons and colonials had actually duked it out conventionally.  But I like 13 Tribes.

  Though I know latin, I don't enjoy it enough to put it in my mod I"ve spent nearly 2 years on.

I like both Colonial Operations, (I think red mentioned somethink like that too) and Total war is cool, but I still think we can come up with something better... I will have to keep thinking.

Bellum Capricus?  no...no latin. >:(
