I'm interested in this mod because I do think the FO-AI needs a lot more work! I'm a little wary about downloading at the moment though as while my computer performs great while playing Fleet Ops I am pretty sure that a million ships would kill it just a little
.
If I may add my own input, I actually don't think that the number of ships for the AI needs to be increased. If you could make this mod improve the AI's efficiency and make it seem like it's not just cheating with bonus resources then I'd have this in a heartbeat!
I'd be looking for the following in any AI mod, for stock A2 or FO:

I'd be looking for the following in any AI mod, for stock A2 or FO:
- Intelligently placed defenses
- An actual effort form the AI at creating and maintaining a stable economy
- Realistic fleet building based on the status of the AI's economy
- Efficient base and fleet building modeled on the strategies of online FO human gamers - The Merciless AI should be marginally better than the best FO players, the Normal AI should be on marginally better than what would be expected of a new FO player that has learned the controls and the Hard AI should be some way in the middle
- I'd also like to see adaptive AI that does not follow the same strategy every single time but picks a strategy based on the situation.
- AI strategies should be based on those developed by the best FO players and accessible to all AI levels (lower AI's would simply be worse at implementing them)
- I'd also like to see an AI that does not rely heavily on spams but rather analyses the situation and precisely attacks in places that would hurt the human player the most for minimal losses
- Finally, I'd like to see the AI using mixed fleets of 16 ships and intelligently using each one with an emphasis on preserving as many as possible.

Don't worry! I didn't overload the thing. Besides, two races are still in progress. But enjoy the AI that is currently available!

sorry to bump, but has development of this mod stopped, or is there something i'm missing,
reason i ask is because it's in the completed mod section, but there are 2 factions of AI still not done?

Yeah... I ran into a problem.... for some reason I can't have all the AIPs modded at the same time otherwise my game would crash.

Are you sure its just not the borg I know that the FO team had to change some things with them to get them to work right

I'm unsure... all I know is that for some reason I can't get all 5 modded. Though... I decided to try again. A wee bit more moderate. Try it out. Just extract it to the AIP directory and tell me if it is your idea. I dunno which it is. The last time I tried I couldn't get the Borg or Rommies to work. But I think it just might be my computer.

Any chance you can upload some new pics to show what kind of fleets the AI is building for each race, how large said fleets are and also what their bases end up being built like?
