Unfortunately due to having widescreen I can't use lower resolutions, as everything i screwed up and stretched.

Also my I recommend scaling stations down as they are really big and cause major pathing issues. Also are the Sov supposed to be able to be slaughtered by the Mylock and Exocset, even with a larger fleet?

But top work on getting this latest version out, very well done. :)

I found out why the avatar selection is messing up on larger resolutions and fixed it. I'll probably release a hotfix patch in a day or so to resolve that for wide-screen users.

One of the intents of the mod was to have large and massive stations for certain things. Generally the really big stations have zero collision though and are "under" zero on the Z axis at all times so ships can pass over them. Are there any big stations in particular that is causing the issue? I mighta forgot to add in avoidme = 0.  :sweatdrop:

Sov ships are the weakest in the game, but they also are the cheapest and at the Barter Authority you can instead spend extra currency to get twice as many ships for the price of one. I recommend summoning ships only from the Barter Authority while the Ore stocks build up, and when you run out of currency for summoning ships you can shift over to building ships from the yard while the currency stocks go up. Is should note though that the Mylock AI currently seems to be the hardest one to beat, at least for me anyway.

No stations in particular it just feels cluttered when building up a base. I am just used to smaller stations I suppose.

Another thing, could you turn down the sound on the menu noises before you start a game? They are quite loud compared to the in-game sounds and when wearing headsets they really make you jump lol.

Still great work on the mod and I'll avoid play against the Mylock for now. Hopefully down the track some multiplayer games for Sigma will start up :thumbsup:

i had some problems with president.. been unable to get thru rather large opening between two "moons"

@Majestic
I suppose if there's a large enough universal request I could shrink the scale of everything in the game by 50%. I personally always felt the stations in A1 and A2 felt very small (the yards in particular felt a bit criminal), especially when compared to the sizes of the ships. It's a little easy to get away with in Trek since they have things like mass replicators and whatnot, but in Sigma them primitive V.R.A. types need to house all the building materials in that giant yard.  :sweatdrop:
I'll lower the volume on the menu sounds, if I recall correctly that issue used to be in FO too before they replaced the menu sounds.
Fighting against the Mylocks on merciless might be good practice. Sort of like how fighting against the Dominion AI on merciless in FO can get pretty hectic.  :shifty:
After I release the hotfix I suppose I'll try for some multiplayer matches. Everyone has such varied timezones though, I pretty much have to wake up very early or be online very late to play with people I know.  :crybaby:

@Mort
Looks like I forgot avoidme = 0 on the President. Noted down and it will be fixed.

Uhm, can anyone here tell me how to install it?  :sweatdrop: I'm probably too stupid to see the obvious solution...  :lol:

EDIT: OK, tried some stuff now... doesn't work. Getting epic crash as soon as the game starts. Halp!?  :sweatdrop:

Put the contents of the Sigma folder in FO's "mods" folder and then start the mod up via the mod manager.

but it dont work .... sry :(

i've done this and when i start fo and select the mod ( whis is called data ... i dont know why ) i get the new look and menu style with the pink haired girl at the right and so on but when i want to start a instant action i can only select the fo races ... and when i start a game with one of the maps with sigma in its name the game crashes :(

what have i done wrong ?

This might be a little more helpful getting it to run with the new mod manager: Modification Modules - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Fleet Operations

If it shows the FO races then that probably means it's not reading the new odf package file for some reason. Did you simply put the data folder in the "mods" folder or make another folder in the mods folder and then put the data folder in it?

yeah it works and i must say ... wow  :woot:
nice races ... nice weapon sounds ... very nice ideas
and yeah you know what ... I LOVE THE EKOSET !!!!!!!
i always wanted a playstyle like this ... only one station which i can upgrade a lot ... less then 5 different warships ... damn powerful ships but no huge fleets ( like the lovely flops borg :borg: ) and so on ... yeah i love them :)
( only one thing ... i think the sensorrange in comparison the the size and weaponrange of their ships is too small imo )

but all in all ... really nice mod :)

I WANT EKOSET IN FLOPS !!! :D

thats why you should get a scout with you.. especially Ekoset UV Satelite got nice sensor range

Indeed the smaller sensor range was intended to make scouts all the more useful since the scouts of every race has a pretty large sensor range. An Ekoset UV Satellite or two should solve all those sensor problems as Mort mentioned  :woot:

Any chance to get map previous instead of logos in future versions? It is REALLY, REALLY annoying not being able to see on what kind of map one is playing. If you really want to keep the logos use a tranparency effect or make 'em much smaller but please not like the current state.
