Galaxy EVO for FO

It is (as far as I know) a non cannon ship.  Dan1025 made one for stock a2 over at a 2 files, and I think it was convirted from BC.  Does that help?

Well, like I said, I only like the Borg textured one. The original Fed one look really ugly to me. Very fat, and very oblique nasty angles.  :sweatdrop:

How is it fat?  It the galaxy fat?  The EVO is slimmer than the galaxy, and is longer.  I'm not sure what you mean dominus.

You mean excalibur right?  :lol:  I will have to dissagree with you, but It doesn't really matter to me if you like it or not.  I don't think you add ships to your game any way do you?

Should increase it's survival chances; Most ships would probably empty their entire torpedo inventory just to get past the outer layer...

Just tried the ship and it is quite good, only needed minor tweaking to work completely. Several things I want to mention:

  • You made the same crew mistake as me, both the combined and both seperated halves have the same crew level. I changed mine to 225 crew when combined, while the Saucer and Stardrive get 125 & 100 crew, respectivly.
  • The name changes when you seperate because you didn't include the 'replacementkeepname = 1' line.
  • The tooltips seem as little perculiar, so I rewrote them (as seen in the screenshots, but I couldn't include the seperated halves because the files combined were too big.)

Ok, cool,I really like them.  I'm not sure what bio-neural gelpacks have to do with increased rate of fire though. :lol:  Maybe tritanium lined torpedo toubs or something.

Oh, and the galaxy has 300, so I am not sure why you made it 225, cus the EVO is suposed to be bigger(slightly.)

Check the Officer ability of the Intrepid:

Bioneural Gel Packs (Passive)
Weapons are fired 11/22 percent faster

Bio-Neural Gel pack are a replacement for Isolinier chips that mimic an organic brain, allowing the computer to process commands faster. 'Tritanium-lined torpedo tubes' would likely increase the durability of the launchers (weapons array), rather than fire faster.

More advanced ship, greater automation, smaller crew needed (not counting peacetime crew levels).

Ok, I agree with both points.  YOu are right. The galaxy haveing itsa large crew was not made for war.  This one would have been.  And it just means there is extra room on the ship. :thumbsup:

One problem I noticed, is that the saucer is suposed to have a photon torpedo.  Look at the underside.  I have it none, and the stardrive is suposed to have phasers.  It hase the strips all over it.  I think thet may need to be fixed in a later version.

Say one phaser, and two burst per section?

Yeah, though wouldn't the Saucer keep using both Phasers after seperating?

How about the Saucer keeps the dual Phasers, while the Stardrive can fire an additional Torpedo?

That is what it is right now, but actually, they both have phaser strips, and they both have photon torpedo launchers.  I'm not sure if I should fix it or not.  Guys, any Ideas?

I didn't mean keeping it as Saucer = Phaser and Stardrive = Torpedo, what I meant whas the Saucer isn't reduced to firing only 1 Phaser array and the Stardrive can fire 1 more Torpedo that the Saucer. It would give them both the same type of weapons, but keeping them different.
