The Venture-varient is going to be the veteran Galaxy, eventually. I think the model's already made.

Those extra phaser strips are functional ?

I'd imagine so, though probably only fired during fly-bys.

the fire arc for those phasers are limited, if a target was behind directly at 0 degree angle, those phasers would be useless, if the enemy was chasing at 20 degree angle, the phasers would have some use. would be interesting to see how it would work in game.
