At long last, the first campaign mission for Sigma is complete! Sit back and enjoy:

After several years of long work and all the amazing effort of Megadroid, the first campaign mission of Sigma is complete on a functional level. I do note that the voiceovers are just placeholders until I get professionals, but sadly I am one man who does not have money at the moment to afford quality voice acting. Please bear with the voices in the meantime if they are not top notch, I work with what I get as of now. The point of this demo is more so to show what is possible in the Fleet Ops engine using Megadroid's Mission Mod. It's a very powerful tool that uses lua script, and with it this mission came to be. I really hope this is an inspiration to the Fleet Ops devs and other would-be-modders, and I really look forward to seeing what sort of campaigns people come up with in the future after this.

I'll likely release this mission as well as an entire demo of Sigma shortly after the next FO patch comes out as it uses some of the features currently in the next patch.

Special Thanks to:
Megadroid - Megadroid's Mission Mod
Fleet Ops devs - the massively improved FO engine and its modding features.
Elizabeth Stiles - Norin's Voice
Adam Halpin - Music Soundtrack, Pilot's Voice
Bryan Stein - Commander Stein's Voice

wow that looks good. also some of the voices aren't even that bad, and are excellent for non professionals.

Yes, I have heard worst from commercial games. Certainly a lot of work. You posted that someone else did the soundtrack, but did you do everything else? Modding I know you did, but cut-scenes as well?

I really like the style of the ships. Especially the Jeverons(how would that be spelled?).You did a good job making each race distinguished and unique.

Yes, thanks again to all who put forth effort on this.

Excellent work. And the only voice actor I wasn't OK with was that of the VRA commander; it could, perhaps, have sounded a bit older.

Excellent work, I have been playing this mod and is great.

Great videos and the voices are cool to me. Now we have to wait for the next patch to play this mission :crybaby:

Indeed I did all the modeling and the cinematics. Most of my models in the game so far can be seen here: http://undyingnephalim.deviantart.com/a ... -305445000

Making each race both look and play as differently as possible has been one of my goals since the start. I'm really glad that it seems I've been accomplishing that. Their name is spelled Jevorons.

I'd like an older voice for Stein, definitely. Really it's Hawksin's voice that I feel needs to be shot dead and replaced. I personally am just not cut out to do voices for my own stuff.

It will be available shorty after the next FO patch. I'd release it right now but it uses and requires some of the new features in the next version of FO.

Impressive. The ability to put that sort of thing together tends to make be say a quiet "Wow" to myself. Jevorons - only off by 1 letter. Very proud of myself. :D And as for each race being different - nailed to an extreme. Very different in looks, even more variety in the abilities, and a crazy different play-styles. And I like that kind of crazy.

I can't wait to finish more crazy missions to compliment them all. :shifty:

Excellent work. Great graphics, script and story. By end of part two I was thinking are the VRA going to be redeemed as part of the story? Will the aliens they slaughtered find a new home world, rebuilding their civilization? Assuming they do will they simply defend their new world or will they seek revenge?

Well, that might be spoiling too much but I suppose I could put an outline of the campaign for those that don't mind spoilers.
