Federation phaser mod (3.2+)

This is a simple mod that will make federation standard phasers thinner like many people have wanted.  From what I have herd, it won't mess up multiplayer either, but since I"m not sure, be sure to make a back up.

They are roughly 40% smaller than the current FO ones.

To install, just use these textures to overwrite the ones in the texture folder(i.e. copy and paste.)


EDIT: Just uploaded new files to fixed the broken attachments. (10/3/11)

    They look very nice, Grax .  I hadn't even really realized that the beams are a bit big until now.  I always hated the beams in games like Bridge commander and Legacy for being too THIN, yet I think you've found a good medium

Only an asthetic mod.  some people had noted that they were bigger than canon beams(no pun intended) and thought they would look better if they were thinner.  The damage done is not effected.

Just like chrome doesn't make a truck move faster.(unless we are talking about web browsers )

yeah, I didn't want to make them too small, and I think 40% was a good decrease.  half the size would have been a little small I think.

lol i found bc had too thick chunky beams. especially since they did pathetic dps and it took all day to kill anything. unless u used those super special torps that u never got more of, and which nearly always killed a tube  :crybaby:

but these new beams look nice, im promoting u back up to lieutenant zaxxon. keep working hard and you'll make admiral before long.
