So you didn't use the fixed weapon I put up?

I know I really bring all the old stuff up here again but I just like those old ships. I seem to run into a lot of problems though. this time the valiant (tyler's) and the defaiant work without crashing the game but they are just white :). the weapons seem to work but no torpedos on either one. as far as I understood that is intentional though, right? I just wondered why they dont have one. I might try gamers version because of the torps.
first of all I have to figure out why they are not colored though. could that have anyhing to do with the autodestruct? I didnt really figure out where to delete stuff for that.

make sure all textures go in the texture folder not textures -> rgb

You have to remove the autodestruct from the odfs (mandatory) and the dynamics (optional, i guess)

to remove from the odf's (you have to go through all of them), search for the following lines
weapon# = "fed_destruct"
weaponhardpoints# = "root"

remove those upon find... in the valiants thing I believe its weapon4 and in the defiant's its weapon5

a common side effect is that at the veteran stage the Valiant shares the Defiants weapon, it may not appear. So that is what my version fixes, gives a working weapon in its place and makes the other one appear. :D

For the dynamics it is much easier.... just remove a couple lines in the tooltips that mention the Auto Destruct weapon.

There are no Torps because the FO ones never had them on non-Officer ranked Defiants.

yeah that's true. I remember that from the defiant. I like the ships a lot. they are awsome...I got them to work now.

the only thing not working entirely right is the tachyon torpedo. most stuff is totally fine but for some reason I can't get the torp research to show in the build list. there is a build button, it just doesn't show anything in the build list when it is in the wait list or researching.

There is a build button, but I think 1337_64M3R forgot to add a lightmap to it. That measn the game won't register it.

it works as build button and on the ship itself. just when I want to research it, it doesn't show up down in the build list...it is researing though. it just doesnt show me anything I do...

Oh, you mean 'Wireframe'? No, he definatly didn't include that. Just use the one if the ACS Torpedo.

Rename the copy: fedR_tac_torpedow5 wireframe09 96 96 96 96 #
