I think he meant Experimental Shielding--it is indeed an interesting idea (though I'm curious how it would be if it was an active ability)

It gives the ship enhanced shields, but Impulse is slower than the lower ranks. Like a reverse of the Hyper Impulse (Slower with tougher defence instead of faster with weaker offense).

Yeah, useing a replace weapon, you could easly make visibly enhanced shields a non passive weapon.  All you have to do is change the shield effect to one like the descents effect, which has a secondl layer.

Tyler, i'm having problems with cheyenne class. Ive installed both ships and they work fine in the game but for some reason the cheyenne textures dont appear, its just a big white ERROR....

Did you use the Miranda altered sprite files?

why do you need the miranda altered files for this to work?

there are stock sprite emitters on the ship, so you need stock sprite refrences.  this attached file is what you is what you need to put in your sprite folder
