I've been trying to use this as a buildable, but I can't get it to work. I've added all the appropriate parts from the files in the "Century_fixed.rar" archive to the appropriate existing files with the exception of the warp in files. I removed the "fleetcaps" variable from the ship odfs and added "fed_century" as a build item in the Eraudi yard. However, when I go to play, there is no button to build the ship, the other buttons which come after are displaced, as if the button should be there, but there is no button.  :( :crybaby:

Help is much appreciated.

Hey, can there be a new version of this? I'd be especially looking for these in a ship:

- Good strength of its 'stand' (so if it is a cruiser, than it can well stand a fight with a cruiser or two)
- Good Special Weapons (I have to say some ships I'm disappointed with because they borrow weapons, I want a ship with custom weapons that are good but balanced)
- "Worth the price"
- And is not completely overpowered.

For the record, this original creator of the Century class, DJ Curtis, who made it for Bridge Commander, designed it as a ship which would succeed the Sovereign class. k_merse took some liberties when he ported it to Armada 2. You can just adjust the ship's numbers like I did.

so you can build ship, but there is no button?  is that correct?

No, there was no button and I couldn't build the ship. But actually, I got it working, I think all I had to do was add "fed_century.odf 0" to the tech trees. I'm now able to build it fine. I did have another question though. I tried then to use k_merse's high poly model and textures but all I got was a big, white "Error" in place of the ship model. Any thoughts?

hmm... you need to make sure the sod is spelled right, but if everything is in corectally all you might need to put in the game is my fleetops.spr, but I think that is already supposed to be in there.  other than that, I'm not sure.  like I said, as long as everything is in there corectally, it should work. :(

Hehe.... I'm toying around with the "Darkside" version. You know, the one on FF that was named SSV Guardian. I'm basically trying to get that to work. But so far I have not made too much progress. Basically I gotta do all the weapons and then the ranked. Plus the values an all of that. Though I am in a bit of a habit of having to put glows on 'everything'. I dunno why.

The SSV Guardian looks awsome, and it would cool to see it for FO.
If only I could say that for the standard-Century :P

Zaxxon, have you by any chance looked at the sod for the high poly version of this ship? Is it just me or are the hardpoints more than a little out of place?

I thought something was weird when I put the high poly version into the game and copied the hardpoints into the FO odfs and found that the phasers were coming from the middle of the ship. When I loaded it in AssimView, half the hard points are a mile off the stern of the ship, in the middle of nowhere. Is this a gross oversight on the part of k_merse and what can I do about it?

hmm, well you could try to move them in assimview, but I have been pretty un secesful with that.  I would suggest 1, not using that model :P, or 2, just don't use those hardpoints.  you can use the same hard point for more than one phaser, ect, it just will always come from the same place.

Sorry, but as of now, I have no easy way of moving hardpoints.
