Weapon Effect Length

Hi everyone,

I would like to change how long the Weapons become disabled for, when the Defiant Critical Shot is fired? What lines would I have to change?

I think lifespan = 10 from fed_criticalo.odf is the line to change.

Which reminds me, shouldn't that be 12 not 10?

lifespan only defines how long the visual weapon effect will remain without hitting something.

I looked myself in the .odf's for critical shot but didn't find something affecting the duration of the weapons disabling effect.

If this line wouldn't be missing in fed_critical.odf and fed_criticalo.odf I would agree however manually adding and changing it does work with odf-commands.

It's not missing - I copy pasted directly from the ordnance file :)

Well... in my ordnance file the line doesn't appear. I checked three times by now. So to me, it is visually missing  :D


Correction. The line was hiding between the romulan and Borg-vessels in damagevalues.

I think lifespan is how long it appears on screen.

Yeah, we established I made a mistake there.
