Weapon Cooldowns Between Phaser Shots

Hey,

I tried messing with the numbers but can't get a clear reading, do weapon cooldowns for the FleetOps' beam weapons trigger at the start of firing or at the end of firing?

For example:

shotcycleresettime = 3.0
shotdelay0 = 0.5
shotdelay1 = 1.0
shotdelay2 = 3.0

Does this make the firing cycle last 4.5 seconds, or is it 4.5 seconds PLUS the time each phaser fires for?

Typically I find the answer myself moments after posting.. despite trying to get a clear reading for hours previous.


The firing cycle is unaffected by the weapon duration.

Cooldowns begin as soon as a weapon triggers :).  So if a weapon has a cooldown of 3 seconds and a beam animation of 2 seconds (as in the phaser graphic hangs around for 2 full seconds), it will SEEM as if the weapon re-engages 1 second after the last one finishes.
