I'm not sure that's the problem. textures in the wrong place show up as white, and some do show properly.

I do not have any programs dealing with graphics except for Irfanview (which allows to simply look at Targa without seperating lightmaps) and TGATool2.

oops missed that

Out of curiosity; you used a stand-alone Excelsior-varient download, right? Because the one from the Starbase34 Compilation works perfectly in FO.

I know that x) Actually any models and textures of that mod work with FO, but the stand-alone model I have chosen has some much more beautiful details and comes with good basic lighting.

For now I use the model from K_Merse, but the bluish textured version and not the teal one (because it looks more convincing that way if fielded alongside FO-Excelsiors).

However I'd still like to get this one working. May be it's really just a lightmap-error, but how do I remove them for a test-run?

Better than the dark blue Lakota-varient with Bridge Commander textures?

Open the lightmap and recolor it all white, see how that looks.

The one I use now is dark-bluish textured (which is not the canon colouring for the Enterprise B and Lakota).

Edit: Screenie x)

Another edit: I forgot to thank you for the advice  :sweatdrop:

I'll try some lightmap-tweaking then.^^

I was comparing the blue one from that mod to the one from BC. Speaking of which, that ship looks like the SB34 one you said you don't use.

The model itself is included in the SB34 SFCompilation mod and textured in the canon colors (except for some details and the deflector that looks awful in both versions).

However I told I don't use it because I took model and textures from k_merses stand-alone release of the "Excelsior-refit" on armada2files. You're right with the exact context though, I wasn't formulating my words well.

Could you show a shot of the deflector?  You said you didn't like it, and I(or anyone else really) could help with that.

There it is; For a comparison you can click the link on my first post which contains screenshots of how the other model is used to look like.

What's wrong with the deflector? If you don't like the blue dots around it, it can be fixed easily, but otherways, I think it looks fine.
Of course my vote doesn't count. She's my baby after all  :sweatdrop:

I think he doesn't like how it doesn't look canon... the ones on the show don't have the dotted line around the deflector. Either that or because it doesn't have ugly dark 'triangles' around the edge pointing in.

Either way, I don't see why you'd use an lower quality ship just because the deflector doesn't have shadows. It looks better the other way.

I don't mean any criticism, I like the model and the textures overall. I just like the other one a tad bit more

Well Tyler, taste is a personal thing as you know. There is no "beautiful" and "ugly". There only is "I like" and "I don't like" for people. If I like something I should know not everyone likes it as well  :D
