Shhh!!   :lol:  I"ll be honest, that is where my idea origionally came from.  The only problem is that I couldn't figure out what to do if one of the sections were destroyed. :sweatdrop:  it works much better for a squad of fighters. :blush:

You have to program your yards to be able to make replacement sections.

Are you sure? in staock a Galaxy will reintergrat with any set of saucer and battle section. They don't have to be from the same ship just both Galaxy parts.

Well in that case, you would have to be able to control the other half's and you would end up with exactly what we have in stock FO.  It already uses a replace weapon to seperate the ships which are all selectable.

My original idea was for them to be on a timer which would automatically revert back to the un-seperated form after a minute or so. If one of the sections were destroyed, it would still revert back, even without the other part. This is also why you couldn't build the other parts.  the timer would no longer work properly if some of the parts were created at different times.

I suppose you could try to make the replaceweapon require both sections to work, but I don't think that autoreplace weapons will obey the techtree.  That is kinda the point. :lol:

Well my thought was you replace the whole ship too the saucer that auto spwans the other 2 sections which are coded like selectable fighters for reintagration but since they work like fighters they stay close to the saucer and auto attack itas targets like in the show :thumbsup:
