how does one change the range of a station, ship or sensor?

In the odf... there are the following codes....

RangeScan = The maximum visual range of the obj.

DamagedScan = The range for when sensors are disabled or the ship is about to blow up

With Cloak Detect... Detector's range = Sensor Range

I think it's the "rangescan =" value.  It was located near the bottom of the odf that I checked.

in ur fo directory they are found in data -> odf -> system

i dont want to change the whole game,  i'm trying to make a map with a special series of sensor relays,  each being able to show ¼ of the map.

Crewed Sensor stations seperate from the default, that are placed derelict to be taken. Hardly Impossible... just needs a non-buildable compromise to work.
