Replace weapons and whatnot

Hi,

I'm just wondering on one thing... I've been playing around with two ships recently.  the NX class refit and the unofficial Galor addon for 3.13.  I got the models and the ships to be fully working in this patch.
Made the miniimages and systembackgrounds for it.  Everything works well and works right.  But I can't at all get the special weapons that the original creator packaged in the ship pack.  I made the interface icon entry in the game for the transwarp_long and short for the NX as well as the secbuffers for Galor (the latter being more complicated).

Anyways long story short, no matter what I do (added interface buttons link in gui_global, as well as double checking all file entries for typos) I can't get the button to show up in the ship, not sure if its the buttonslot or not, or if there are entries that allow a button to show up or not to activate the button or not.  At least I'd like to know how to get the interface icons to show up in the ship first. 

Any insight would help, Thanks in advance

You beat me to it!  I was going to ask the exact same thing.

Usually, if you think you've tried everything else, check the techtree.  It's probably the cause of most addons not being usable.

I'm having the same problem in Star Trek Armada II with the NX-clas. I got two special weapons showing, the Shuttlecraft specail weapon and the Phase Cannon Overload, but the third one isn't showing up, the tird is like the tractor beam, its the Grappler. That isn't showing up at all. The ship I got from a full mod called Birth of The Federation. I have the ships and its weapons set aside in its own mod folder for easy reference, I can turn it into a .ZIP if anyone wants to take alook at it. The techtree information for the weapon is correct, its just not showing up and I have the buildbutton information correct too.

I wish I could help you, but it seems that we have the same probelm, just yours is in Fleet Ops and mine is in Armada II, it is using the Patch Project 1.2.5 Patch though.

Good luck with your problem though.

in a2 its because you cnt have more than one weapon with the same classlabel i think but in fo i aint sure wot the issue is

Is there a way to change the classlabel of a Special Weapon in Star Trek Armada II? Like to make a Grappler work for an earlier ship instead of a Tractor Beam?
