Regeneration "Weapon" Question

Can this be made to regenerate only shields, the hull, a specific subsystem, or a combination of those?

To my knowlage, it regenerates the entire ship, not a specific area.

I'm afraid not, the Regeneration weapon is an annoying fellow.

yes there is. you ca create a toggleable replaceweapon. that replaces into the regen mode ship and then ib that ships odf. you can spike the repair values to do you regen. (code example is the repair mode weapon in the void mod)

I think he thought of that, since he specifically asked about a workaround that doesn't use extra odfs.

That's probably the only way to do it currently.

What about that shield restoring weapon? Is there any way to slow down the time it takes to restore shields as it hits the other ships or maybe get it to where only the emitting vessel is affected?

Perhaps this could be some functionality changed in the latest version? I know that I myself would also find it useful as a "shield reinforcement" weapon to boost shield recharge rate for a short time. I know that can be done by a replaceweapon, but that introduces it's own interesting quirks into the equation.
