Hey guys, I was going to experiment with fighter physics and I need input.

First, I would like to know how to pull off that barrel-roll effect for the craft. As I want a certain fighter to be doing that as it does sharper turns.

I also wanted to know how to make the fighters seem more or less maneuverable than others (sharper turns, etc.) without tarnishing the realistic appearance.

If I were you I would make nice and talk to thunderfoot over at msfc.  He is, imo, the expert on a2 physics.  I might have been able to help you if I hadn't make all my fighters in my game have the same physics.  this removes some balancing issues.  I just changed their weapon load outs is all.  I made the excuse that if a ship has a higher hitchance, it is thereby more maneuverable. :D

Well......... I can see thunder being the expert. Its just I was hoping that TUN might help since his mod featured the spinning Human ship and I was wondering if he could pluck a few tips.

At the moment I am going to try to keep some breathing room between me and Thunder after that derpous move I did back there.

Well, I can tell you that a barrel rolll, though not very practicle in ths case is achieved be a very large rollcoupling value.  At least, Thats what I think did it. :sweatdrop:

Either way, I suggest making up with thunder, so there are no issues in the future when/if you really do need his help. :sweatdrop: :whistling:
