Is there anyway to create a ability that effectivly acts like a phase cloak but still have the ship visable?

Right, but it can still be fired upon, aside from inputing the desired ignore code in all the weapons i'll use, is there a command i can put in the ship odf to have it ignored (seems there was but i can't remember, maybe that was the ignoreinterfece thingy)

In that case there's something else to consider: do you want ships to keep trying to attack it when it's in phase mode?  This could have serious implications for balance.

It shouldn't be hard to make it untargetable: I think it'll be a replaceweapon and Dom can give you the exact line.  If you want it to just be immune, you may need to take the Cover Fire solution and just make every weapon in the game do zero damage to it.  Obviously this is only an option if you have a script set up to generate all the odf's automatically from a database.
