I actually attempted this, but I couldn't get it to work.  I believe that the ship was autoreplacing as soon as the ship was placed, and therefore never made it to the location.  Since the ship pics a random spot to warp from, I can't give it a universal delay, because it would either replace too soon, or get to the spot and wait for a long time to replace..

Well, if you are only making the mod for a few maps, you can always set a standard delay time - especially if your flight time is quite fast :) . For instance, if your warpInSpeed is 2000, it takes around 10 seconds to arrive presumably on even some of the largest maps - a delay of around that long should serve pretty well then :) .

The waiting thing I was just explaining was just a "transfer to your command" -> you could have an in-game reason for it, or you could even have the warp in object be a exit-from-hyperspace effect, which then replaces into a ship via an exiting animation :)

Yeah, I will give it a try, but at this rate, it is more trouble than its worth.  A replace out of thin air is not that much different than a very fast jump from the side of the map. :sweatdrop:

Obviously entirely your decision, but it is a replace out of an exit-from hyperspace effect, which isn't entirely thin air. We didn't see the Star Wars stuff in hyperspace from normal space...  :sweatdrop: . I'm just making excuses for doing fun effects :)

Oof, well finally got that working.  I'm still not really happy with how slow the ship moves, but I will continue working on that I guess. ^-^

Alright, now I need an odf that will automatically remove an object from the map after 15 seconds or so.  Sounds simple to me but I can't get it to work.  :sweatdrop:
