So, I've had an idea for how the noxter race could work and since modding Flops is getting easier to do lately, I'm thinking I'll go ahead and dabble. The idea is to produce something semi-workable and if I get lucky, lay a baseline that's good enough that the devs decide to pick it up when they make the Noxters "for real."
So my next step is to ask, who owns the Noxter content that was in Fleet Ops previously? Who do I need to ask permission in order to include the old models 1. if I never show anybody, and 2. if I decide to share it online?
Also do the devs have any ideas for the race that they would share with me in part so I can think alike? Like, do you still want mobile turrets and a mobile main base?
Finally, there is a specific mechanic I don't even know if it's possible. I want to make it so a ship gains experience when an enemy ship dies nearby instead of just when it gets the kill. Or it could gain experience when an ally gains experience, the goal is to make a group of units that take a lot of experience before they all rank up at the same time. I know it would be very complicated but I've considered making it so if there is a group of ranked noxter ships and a new ship comes in, the experience will be focused on that ship until it reaches the same rank as the rest of the "Brood."
