Okay I can understand having a system like that, but I still can't understand how it produced the ships we have now.

For example, the Avalon and the B-5 have radically different stats, both somewhat unusual for their races yet they are both Large Battleship Carriers with about the same tech costs.

Would you mind giving me a sneak peak at the numbers and explain how these two started out and what multipliers acted on them?  Is it something like this?

Layer 1: Starting concept (Whole numbers)
Layer 2: Race multiplier
Layer 3: Role multiplier
Layer 4: ???
Layer 5: Profit
