Right as the title says.
Im looking for a way to increase the amount of crew for a or any ship. Earlier i came by to ask about the amount a freighter can carry and that went very well. So i went into the odf folder and took a look. There are sooo many different vutpa's, my question is how do i change this. what am i looking for? and is there a specific file i look for when wanting to do this? like is there a universal file that can change the crew cap vutpa that may or may not have researched additions?

You'll probably want to change the crew level on each odf.

Basically, most ranks of vessels are differenciated by a number after the ship name, like
"ShipX.odf"
"ShipX1.odf"
... and so forth. It's a tedious task; you may want to use a search engine/ autoreplace tool to change everything.

What megaman said, not only does your knight named vutpa get a mount as he levels up, but he also requires a new .odf file to represent the new stats as he levels up, so if you wish to make a big change, it needs to be made to all vutpa .odf's

oki so looking threw the page for a venture class, i notice that it has a crew cost of 10, this matches the amount of crew in game for said ship. however when i changed the crew cost on the descent class from 600 to 6000 (just to test) it didn't change that number. bear in mind this descent was created due to a mod that allow me to build summoned ships from starfleet command.
so is the crew cost what needs to be changed then?

Crewcost is indeed what needs to be changed on most units

You likely changed the WRONG decent class .odf file which is why you didn't see the change.
Go into the mod you DLd, check the SFC building to see what .odf files (and thusly what ships) are bound to the stations summon spells, from there, you know what .odf files you need to alter for the test.
Also note: If any of your summonable ships are capable of ranking up, if you do not change the crew for each higher ranking .odf it will go down in crew to the pre-alteration numbers.
