Imported Galaxy Bug

I tried to import the Galaxy Class from here: Galaxy CLass, Star Trek: Armada 2 Downloads, Star Trek: Armada 2 TNG, DS9, VOY and Future
But when I go ingame I just see an ERROR in place of the Galaxy. Can someone tell me where I went wrong?

Steps I took:
Imported the SOD and texture files into the appropriate folders
Edited all of the Galaxy odfs so that they hardpoints that were on the model.

I don't believe the sprites needed editing, since I was just replacing the Galaxy class that was ingame

Someone help please?

If you want to use any SOD meant for stock A2, you need the editted sprite files. You can find them is mods by Adm Zaxxon.

Downloaded the file, tried it. It still doesn't work. >:( I downloaded a lot of other ships made for this, and they all ran, now I try to add a nice model of my favorite ship, and it doesn't work... :crybaby:

Maybe it's just that model? Even with the new sprites, some ships don't work. Try another one, see if that works.

Tried the same thing with the Galaxy model from Starbase 34. Same results. How do you get starships in? Maybe there's something I'm missing thats key to getting it ingame.

All I did was add the edited sprite file from Zaxxon's Miranda Class...after that, all but 2 stock SOD's worked in FO.

Even the Galaxy from S23 didn't work? Did you try 'fedgalaxy' or 'fedussgalaxy'? Because 'fedussgalaxy' & 'fedussventure' are the ones I use.

Try downloading this Miranda Class and copying every sprite file (except gui_global) over, maybe you need all of them? I added the sprites so long ago, I've forgotten if I copied all or one of them.

I used the "fedgalaxy" one. I also just tried using the sprite from the Miranda mod. No effect. I feel strongly that it may be something in the .odf's that I'm missing

I just tried what you suggested in your edit. IT WORKS!!! Thank you so much for your help man, I owe you

Wonderful. Do you use only one type of Galaxy for all ranks?

Do you mean that do I use the Venture refit for like say, rank 5, and possibly the Galaxy-X for Veteran?
The answer would be no, but now I might actually consider that. Thanks for the idea.

Well, Venture for the veteran actually. I hadn't considered using a Galaxy-X. You should make sure there textures are the same, don't want them going from grey to white or anything...

I might actually do just the Venture for Veteran. I kinda like the Galaxy-X, but since there's a big debate about whether or not it really exists, I guess the Venture will do. Besides, after visiting that new blog, supposedly the new Galaxy-Class model will become the Venture-Refit when it reaches Veteran Rank.

It probably will, though wether or not it'll be better than the Venture I currently use won't be known until it is released.

There is no debate. Galaxy-X only existed in an alternate universe.
