question is when i download the zip file i have know idea where to put it in the FO directory. Go easy on me i can use a computer but im no programmer. someone just give me the rundown and ill be good...thanks

Depends what the modification is: most need to be extracted into a 'Mods' folder, as described here: http://guide.fleetops.net/guide/modding/modmodules Good luck!

You also should read the Readme files... Most of us include installation instructions in it.
