how to add a smoke trail to a weapon ?

how can you set it up so that a weapon like a torpedo has a smoke trail ?

Hi, I can't help you on this but I have a question out of curiosity...

Why a smoke trail? Smoke means a fuel source which is burning and burning requires oxygen and smoke requires an atmosphere to hang in which do not exist in the vacuum of space.

Something to consider.

maybe by smoke he just means gas in general. star trek VI had a major plot point revolve around the fact that ships release waste gasses. maybe a torpedo/missile of the type in question outputs more of these gasses as it needs to travel a short distance at high speed.

The weapon in question needs to use a 3d model rather than a sprite effect, and you simply add the desired emitter to the weapon SOD file.

I would be interested in seeing how ur trail looks. A problem I have has making Cylon missiles is getting the trail to work and look right :(

Hummmm, not to bad at all. what emitter did u use? did u alter it much from its stock settings? They wouldnt be for bc304 missiles would they?

i think it was fade 3 and i did change the stock settings.
and thay are bc-304 missiles

A few time ago I found a missile and a nuke weapon for ST Armada 2.

Works very nice and it's a pleasure to use it against enemy ships :-)

I try to use it in my FO mods but somehow don't works.

I'd like to use the missile weapon because uses a trail for visual effects and looks just nice in the game, of course in Armada 2 :-)

After installing, in my FO mod, after firing on the enemy target, showing the "Error" text.

Do you have any idea for a missile weapon with a tail to be used in Fleet Ops mods ?

Finally I have a tail for my missiles in my FO mod :-)

Well, it's not the same tail like in Armada 2, but I have it and isn't white, it's yellow with green colors :-)

What I have to do, is to make it a bitter slim or something :-)

Or maybe you have another ideas to make a missiles with a tail, let me know. Thank you.
