How do you add existing Armada 2 ships to Fleet Ops?

I have searched the forums high and low for an answer, but cannot find one, how can I import a ship / accompanying stuff into Fleet Ops.

For example:
I am presently trying to import an Ori vessel (Ori Invasion Craft Download, Star Trek: Armada 2 Ships) but am failing miserably. Could anybody help / teach me the fundamentals for converting ships to Fleet Ops?

You don't need to import. The 'Miranda Class' in the modding section comes with a different sprite file that allows most stock ships to work in FO.

So would I install it normally, just add it to the tech tree and a shipyard and away we go?

If you want it to show up in-game, you'll need the altered sprite file. Otherwise, it should be fine to do that.

So install this as instructed: Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Miranda Class for FO: Updated

and then do the tech tree and shipyards for the Ori ship / it's weapons? or do I need to edit a Sprite? (If so, how?) Sorry if I am being noobish I only know how to properly add ships in normal Armada 2.

Wireframe and build button entries go in 'Gui_Global.spr', that is the only edits you'll need to do to them yourself.

Rightio, I presume the weapons the ship has wont need to be added to any file?

If they use existing weapons sprites, no. If they do, a new entry will be needed in the file 'fleetops.spr'.
